When Black Veil Brides entered, the venue filled with screams. The band dove right into Knives and Pens, a song adored by all their fans, instantly setting the exciting tone for the rest of the show. The band played songs from their most recent and heaviest record to date, such as Bleeders, Certainty, Revenger, and Vindicate, while also filling their set with older classics, like Rebel Love Song, Sweet Blasphemy, and The Legacy. This alternation between their different eras of music was skillfully blended as Andy Biersack (lead vocalist) delivered spectacular vocals and screams. Jinxx (guitar) and Jake Pitts (guitar) captivatingly played the guitar alongside Lonny Eagleton (bass) and Christian Coma (drums) who skillfully unified the instruments together.
In between songs, Andy recalled that the day that Black Veil Brides’ first record came out, they played down the street at Club Soda, another memorable Montreal venue. Fans started cheering and many exclaimed that they themselves attended the show. During the show, Lonny also thrilled the Montreal fans with a few quick words in French.
The band slowed it down during Lost it All, during which Jinxx delivered a gripping violin performance, and ended the night with In the End, to which the crowd’s reaction was instant and the fans sang the song at the top of their lungs. At the end of the night, the fans witnessed not only a show celebrating the band’s newest album, but also a celebration of Black Veil Bride’s long and loved discography.
