On Friday night, Dermot Kennedy took the stage of Glasgow’s infamous OVO Hydro as part of his ‘Weight of the Woods’ headline arena tour. The crowd waited patiently for Kennedy to take the stage as time creeped closer to 9pm and roared with excitement as he finally took the stage.
Friday night’s setlist included 20 songs with just over half being from his newest album ‘Weight of the Woods’ and the rest being from his previous albums. Kennedy also performed his hit singles ‘Outnumbered’, ‘Better Days’ and ‘Power Over Me’. During the set, the crowd were captivated by the authentic, emotional lyrics and sang along. Kennedy is a perfect example of an artist who immerses the audience in the narrative and expresses the feeling he is portraying. I highly recommend you see him live at least once.
